School Chef - Marsden, Huddersfield
35 hours per week 7.00am - 2.30pm Term Time plus 1 week
To start - September 2022
Permanent position Salary £16,156 (FTE £19,650)
 
Our client is a Junior School, founded in 1910, in Marsden, Huddersfield.  It has a long established tradition of success and promotes values such as respect, honesty, integrity, morality and courtesy.  They have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Chef to join the catering team at the School. Across the Trust they strive to be the best they can be in everything they do and that includes their catering facilities. They are incredibly proud of the catering service that they offer to their students and staff. Their catering teams produce a wide variety of meals, snacks and desserts made from locally sourced food and ingredients which are freshly prepared every day. Their Academy Catering teams have received high praise for the food produced and have won awards in recognition of the high standard of healthy food prepared for their students.
 
They are looking to recruit a Chef who is passionate about both great food and great service. Someone who will support the team in their kitchen at Marsden and strictly uphold good working practices to maintain the high standards of hygiene and safety. Ideally you will have experience of working within a high-volume food business and will be used to cooking with fresh ingredients. Alternatively, you might simply have a strong passion for cooking and feel that you could add value in a role like this. Either way you will need to enjoy working in a busy kitchen and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to be very much hands on (a qualification to NVQ level 3 standard would be desirable but not essential).
