44.6 weeks paid including 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays
Our client is a day and boarding preparatory school for boys and girls in the village of Brettenham, Suffolk. Founded in 1862, the school currently accommodates about 120 boys and 70 girls between the ages of 2 and 13 years.
A Kitchen Assistant is required to help deliver the School's aims and objectives by assisting in the preparation and serving of attractive, healthy, varied meals. To clean designated areas within school premises efficiently and effectively, so that a clean and tidy environment is maintained for students, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate should have:
·Ability to work effectively both in a team and also on own initiative
·Ability to understand oral and written instructions
·Basic food-handling skills
·Understanding of health and safety requirements
·Understanding of child protection issues
·Experience of food preparation in a commercial/education environment
·Food Hygiene Certificate
Salary: Salary £15,398 (£9.75 per hour)
Working Hours: 44.6 weeks paid including 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays
Term time plus 4 weeks (38 weeks): 2 week rota:
Week 1: 7.30 - 15.15 (includes 45 mins. unpaid breaks) Monday to Friday
Week 2: 7.30 - 15.15 (includes 45 mins. unpaid breaks) Monday to Friday
10.45 -18.30 Sunday
19 kitchen cleaning days out of term time
9.45 - 14.15 (15 mins. unpaid break
