Prep School Specialist Learning Support (SEND) Assistant - Elstree, Herts
Full time, part time or job share will be considered. Term time only.
Full time equivalent salary up to circa £24,267 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

They are looking to appoint an inspirational, dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with a Hearing Impairment who has an EHCP, working with the teacher in preparing for lessons and helping create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for the identified pupil.  During lessons, you will work together with the class teacher to support the pupil with classroom activities and enable the pupil to fully access the curriculum, as well as developing their confidence and independence.
 
Excellent communication and enthusiasm will be key in supporting the pupil to progress, achieve and overcome any problems. You will support all areas of the curriculum within the classroom and the broader school setting. You will also be expected to participate fully in duty rotas and accompany teaching staff and pupils on trips and other out-of-school activities.
 
This post is term time only, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm. The role will require occasional work on evenings and weekends, as overtime. This might include residential trips that the pupil attends. Full time equivalent salary up to circa £24,267 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Actual salary up to £19,300 annum.
