Medical Officer / 1st Aider - Peacehaven, East Sussex
Salary: £17,240 - £18,546 pro rata (£20,045 - £21,563) SAT 5 
Term Time plus 5 staff development days.
37 hours a week.
 
Our client is a mixed secondary school for 11 to 16-year-olds in Peacehaven, East Sussex 
 
They have an opportunity to appoint a confident, caring and organised person to their team as a Medical Officer. This role will require applicants to assess the medical and welfare needs of students and staff, and administer front-line First Aid.
 
Working under the direction of the Headteacher and senior staff, the successful applicant will be a key member of the school and administration team and will provide high-level administrative and organisational services, and oversee the administrative function of the school. 
 
The successful candidate will have:
·Good evidence of educational qualification. At least 4 G.C.S.E's including English and Maths or equivalent;
·A First Aid qualification or be willing to work towards one;
·Experience of using Microsoft Office Applications;
·Ability to work under pressure, in a busy environment with many interruptions.
 
An NVQ in nursing or childcare would be an advantage but not essential.
