Residential Senior Matron - Helensburgh, Scotland
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
As the West of Scotland's only day and boarding school, our client welcomes families from around the world to enjoy a first-class education and lifestyle from ages 3 to 18.  Their unique location in the coastal town of Helensburgh, on the edge of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, provides a perfect setting to deliver a rounded education that inspires academic achievement and a love for the outdoors.
They are looking to recruit a Residential Matron who will play a key role in the pastoral care of all the pupils in the boarding house on a day-to-day basis, with particular responsibility for the physical, social and emotional well-being of the pupils in the House.  This diverse role allows you to be part of Boarding life at the school while ensuring that you help create a 'home away from home' environment in which the boarders are at ease and are happy.  Their Boarding pupils are aged from 9 years through to 19.
They're looking for someone educated to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) who is already registered with SSSC or willing to obtain the qualification.  They would especially like to hear from you if you are registered with the Nurse and Midwifery council.  This role is about being proactive and using your initiative to resolve day to day situations as they arise.  You will need resilience, patience, clear-sightedness, compassion, strength and an unfailing sense of humour!  However, if this role is for you will find it incredibly rewarding being part of our young people's life while at the school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and flexible individual to join the School and a competitive salary is on offer commensurate with this important role.
