Our client is an independent, co-educational day school in Battersea and occupies a 12-acre site close to Clapham Junction railway station.
 
They are looking to appoint a School Nurse, to start as soon as possible.  You must have a good sense of humour, sound common sense and a genuine interest in and a liking for young people. You should also have highly developed interpersonal skills and, ideally, experience with young people in schools or other paediatric settings.
 
Working alongside the lead school nurse, the successful candidate will provide medical support to pupils and staff throughout the school. They will also be expected to provide support at our sports events.  The medical room is part of a wider pastoral team whose aim is to promote physical health and emotional wellbeing of the pupils. This support is designed to meet a wide range of day-to-day needs. From meeting the physical needs of some pupils and the administration of first aid, to guiding pupils who might need psychological support.  The role is varied but a vital one in our school community.
