Our client is a thriving school situated on a 24-acre site west of London. It has a vibrant and diverse community, and their students are renowned for their academic prowess as well as their success across an extraordinarily wide range of co-curricular activities, including sport, music, and drama.  
They have state-of-the-art facilities, and they encourage staff to make the most of the school's swimming pool, tennis courts, free lunches, on-site parking, and library services.
 
They are looking to appoint a part-time Counsellor to provide a professional and confidential counselling service to our pupils, working under the guidance of and reporting to the Lead Counsellor and alongside the pastoral and teaching staff at the Senior School.
 
The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years post qualification experience and previous experience of counselling with young people in an education environment, especially in the 11 -18 age range, and hold a recognised counselling qualification to at least Diploma level.  Experience working with adults would be advantageous, as the counsellor may also be working with staff.
 
This is a permanent, part-time post, term time only (34 weeks). The working hours are 21 hours per week, from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday - Tuesday and 8.30am
to 3:00 pm on Wednesday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.  The salary for this role will be £16,120 - £17,244 pro rata (0.41 FTE), based on a full-time equivalent salary of £39,318 - £42,059 per annum (dependent on experience).
