Founded in 1850 and set in its own village amidst unspoilt Berkshire countryside, our client enjoys a well-established reputation for being one of the country's leading co-educational, independent schools through its provision of academic excellence and a well-rounded education.

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead their Nursing Team and ensure the delivery of a clinically effective, high-quality healthcare service to their pupils.

As Lead Nurse, you will oversee both the clinical operations and governance of our on-site Medical Centre, which operates six days a week and includes an overnight and on-call service for remote support. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions throughout the Medical Centre and College, ensuring that nursing care continues to meet the needs of our pupils.

This role combines hands-on nursing and team management, with approximately 60% of your time in clinical nursing and 40% focused on management responsibilities. You will also work closely with pupils, parents, school staff, and medical colleagues to carry out health surveillance, health promotion and other public health initiatives required by the School.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week during term time plus two additional weeks. The role also includes occasional overnight shifts (potentially one per week) and weekend on-call duties, which are paid at an additional hourly rate and scheduled flexibly to suit rota requirements.

In return they offer a variety of benefits, such as:

Contributory workplace pension scheme and 3 x life cover
Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
BHSF Health Cash Plan
Subsidised membership to the Sports Centre and Golf Club
Cycle to work scheme
Electric vehicle scheme
Free parking and lunch provided when the kitchens are open
